The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) is a philanthropic foundation led by Latinos and for Latinos. They pursue civic, economic and cultural opportunities that drive an authentic narrative about Latinos, and cement a healthy and vibrant future for all Latino Coloradans. We partnered with LCFC in support of this vision, providing services ranging from design to marketing strategy and campaign production.

Since LCFC’s founding in 2007, the foundation has invested more than $13 million and leveraged almost $50 million in Colorado’s Latino communities. Our work together built upon this rich history — and included the launch of a new website, re-packaging of a thought leadership podcast series, development of their social presence and most notably the launch of a multi-year $20 million national endowment campaign, One Community. One Legacy.

A streamlined website for a fast-moving organization

Over time, the page structure and site map of LCFC’s Squarespace-based, dual language site had become overly complicated with a mix of old and new content. We worked with them to simplify the site structurally and visually so that the most important information was brought forward. We created templates and implemented an automated translator in their CMS, which streamlined their production process and cut down on extra work that had been hindering the creation and cadence of site content.

The first Latino philanthropic superhighway

LCFC embarked on 4-year national campaign to build the first Latino Philanthropic Superhighway and ensure the perpetuity of LCFC and the success of Latinos in Colorado. To help LCFC reach their long-term fundraising goals, we created a comprehensive cross-channel promotional strategy, full stack communications plan and a suite of campaign assets — including billboard placements for the country’s highest traffic airports. This tent pole project, coupled with LCFC’s regular operations and the endowment fund, will facilitate the continued growth of their existing community initiatives to invest in people, tackle problems and find sustainable solutions.

A vibrant social media presence

LCFC has an enthusiastic social media following. LetterShop produced assets that brought added attention to programs like their exceptional podcast, Our Story. We created reels, posts and stories that celebrated Latino holidays, announced special events and highlighted key donor information. We helped LCFC create a consistent, integrated social media presence that resonated with the community and sparked engagement.

Consistency from A to Z

Our team also reinforced the brand through printed materials including refreshed business cards, signage and promotions for their 15th-anniversary fundraiser, promotional brochures and annual reports. This work gave us the opportunity to expand upon the digital strategy, explore scale and maximize awareness and reach of the organization.
